To get the decor theme off to a cosy start there's a sweet photo frame with a gorgeous illustrated print by the My Little Box illustrator Kanako. On one side it reads: "The uncommon beauty of common things", the words of the iconic husband and wife design team Charles and Ray Eames, and on the other side it says, "All things pretty" which is of course a quote from one of the most inspirational creatives of all time, Andy Warhol. I love both quotes but Andy Warhol has my heart for the time being but it's a nice feature to have two options. The blue frame is simple and will blend perfectly in my studio.
Next up is a cushion cover with a print ever so Pinterest with pastels geometric detail with a baby blue and white polka dot backing. Again, this will blend in perfectly in my studio (please remind me to post a studio tour!) and it's the type of design that would blend into a variety of rooms from sitting rooms, bedrooms, spare rooms and even kitchens, so it's a good choice of both design and colour from My Little Box. To round everything off the My Little World magazine is full of lovely interior design ideas that will get the ol' creative juices flowing, and is the perfect accompaniment to this box.
The only teeny problem of course with the above pieces is that if the colours and style are not your cup of tea then you could be disappointed, but honestly I think they are very suits all. My Little Box have been very cautious I think with the design in that it is modern and in vogue, but not too over the top. It's a very good crowd pleaser. And anyway, if you don't like the frame you could paint it, and the cushion cover could be DIY'd until your heart's content.
The beauty items this month are truly perfect for a cosy night in and that's what February is all about to me. One of my favourite beauty items this month is the Mitchell and Peach English Leaf body cream. This indulgent body cream, containing honey, organic cocoa and Vitamin B5 is delicately scented with the lush, aromatic English Leaf fragrance; a gorgeous scent of soft citrus, coriander leaves, basil, mint and floral oils from the Mitchell Estate.
To soothe tired, winter facial skin there's a Noxidoxi Mask and Peel, a skin reviving mask and peel face scrub, set to revive your complexion and bring its natural glow back. I'm really excited to try this as my skin is suffering from months of air conditioning and the cold outdoors.
Finally we have the My Little Beauty Skin Perfecting Face Cream. This isn't so much for night per-se, but for any time of day that your skin is feeling a bit tired and needing some spark and vitality. I have yet to use it, but it looks lovely and on my hand adds a lovely subtle sheen.
This is again a triumphant box and most certainly embraced all things homely, cosy and pampering all in one. It's always such a joy to see what ideas they have next and I cannot wait to see what Spring offerings My Little Box bring!
So to any of my My Little Box fellow members (Japan, Germany, UK and France): did the February box make you want to snuggle on the sofa and get inspired by decor? Let me know your thoughts below please!
