Lollipops Paris Make Up Haul

One of my guilty pleasures in life is my love of international supermarkets! I know, I know, it's very odd! One of my favourites is Monoprix which is essentially the French version of Tesco. Actually, sorry Tesco, but it's better. You see, Monoprix is that wonderful kind of place where you can do your weekly shop as well as having a field day exploring the wondrous beauty aisles!

The last time I went to Paris I had hang luggage only, so this did make cosmetic shopping a very selective, careful process! One brand I adore that you can find in Monoprix (as well as Sephora) is Lollipops Paris.
Lollipops Paris make up was created in 2010, and the products are made in Italy and France and sold throughout most of Europe (the Lollipops brand also sells lots of other fashion accessories as well as cosmetics). Lollipops Paris offers natural based formulas that are free of harmful chemicals including parabens and preservatives. The packaging is so gorgeous, and ever so slightly Too Faced esque with features of boudoir fun and Parisian glamour, making it easy to carry around in a tote or makeup bag.

There were so many things I wanted but in the end I narrowed it down to the above. Thankfully I worked out I would use up one of my liquids so I picked up a bottle of the Mattifying Primer.
Called 'Mademoiselle Absinthe' this primer leaves the skin matte, hydrated, smooth and flawless. It is enriched with vitamin A and hyaluronic acid so you also get some skin-loving benefits.

Secondly is this pretty Rose blush. Sadly I actually cannot find any information about this product but I found it at Monoprix and it's called 'Lollipops Blush B02' shade 'Rose'. It's a gorgeous naturally just flushed cheek shade and perfect for everyday.

The last item is the show-stopper: The Saint Germain Nude Eyeshadow Palette. I actually picked this up in the Champs-Élysées Sephora and I believe it's an exclusive Sephora product (FYI this Sephora had the most wonderful collection of Lollipops make up and is also the home of Laduree make up...we'll get onto that in another post!). Not only is the packaging cute overload but it's such a lovely palette with high pigmentation and a beautiful range of shades. I love it so much I'm going to share a separate post with swatches.

I'm so excited to stumble across this gorgeous make up collection and I'd highly recommend it. The prices are very budget friendly and comparable to perhaps Sleek UK drugstore wise. It's unfortunately not for sale in the UK, as far as I know, but the list of stockists can be found here.

  1. omg you are not alone!!! I LOVE SUPERMARKETS ABROAD!!! I love all the little differences you notice in the most everyday things. I've never seen this brand in all my explorations of French supermarkets (which really surprises me, because there have been many explorations) but it looks so lovely, really reminds me of Ladurée! I have to say next time you find yourself in a French supermarket, be sure to check out the tea aisle - I once got blueberry muffin flavoured tea!
