Even though it's January where the temperature has plummeted, most mornings consist of de-icing the car and evenings are all about being tucked up in front of the TV, it's actually the month I start to think about shooting the Spring and Summer collection for Beauxoxo. I always try to come to Liverpool at this time of the year and I make sure it's something indoors! Last year I headed to Cuthbert's Bakehouse, and this year I decided that the Tea Parlour in Liverpool's historic Mathew Street would be the perfect follow up.
Because I've had my eye on the Tea Parlour for a while now, I let that dictate the sort of fabrics that this collection would have. I'm in love with this patisserie style print I have with cake and macarons that reminds me of Paris. There's then a pink heart fabric that is the sister to my bestselling red and white heart collection. Finally some very pretty florals that are ever so folklore Anna Sui inspired, a new music print (shot in the heart of Beatles mania) and a fun pop of fruity goodness inspired by my fave Marina and The Diamonds. Speaking of Marina and The Diamonds, the whole make up look was revolved around the Primadonna Girl era and doesn't my model Lauren look so gorgeous in this style?
The Tea Parlour was truly the perfect backdrop for this look book and so beautiful that it really deserves a post for it alone so look out for that. Meanwhile, this collection will be ready very soon and I cannot wait to see what you all think! If, by the way, there's anything you'd like to see at Beauxoxo in 2016 could you please let me know? I absolutely love to hear your thoughts and it means so much to me.
