My Little Fashion Box, My Little Box September 2015

In case you haven't noticed it's Fashion Week season at the moment. It started in New York, then London, then Milan and now will finish in Paris. And so for the last few weeks it's been all about SS16 even though the AW15 season barely feels like it's started!

I'm a huge fashion fan and always have been so I avidly follow the trends from each of the four cities and it's something I've always been tremendously interested in. I'm so pleased My Little Box has created a box centred around fashion week because after all, their home base in Paris is one of the most fashionable destinations on earth. With that in mind, let's see what fashionable treats they have come up with this month....

My Little Fashion Items
A box titled 'My Little Fashion Box' simply must include some sort of fashion piece and this month we are treated to an America Vintage Scarf. Whilst the name would suggest they are an American company their website is all in French, as is their social media so I think they are in fact a French brand. The scarf is so pretty, with dainty oval floral detail and the packaging is so gorgeous and creative. It's a flimsy scarf but still of a very nice standard and feels so lovely to wear.

My Little Beauty Items
I really love the beauty item this month. They are a wonderful mix of on the catwalk and off the catwalk pieces. First up, La Roche-Posay Hydreane BB Cream. This is the perfect cream that I can imagine lives in most supermodel's handbags for when they need skin protection, but away from the heavy catwalk bases. And so this BB cream, like so many, sets to moisturise, soothe and protect the skin. The mineral pigments make the skin look even and fresh-faced and it's infused with thermal spring water for the most sensitive skin. Its smooth and non-greasy texture softens the skin. The colour added to the box is the shade 'Light' and yet because I have super fair skin it's obviously not snow-white complexion light. I've included a swatch so you can see. I have tried it on and it feels so lovely so I am going to add some whitening lotion to make it less yellow toned and hoping that works. But for normal light skins I'd highly recommend this cream.

The other beauty items are a Red Lip Cream with a gorgeous satiny/velvet finish called 'Red Dingue'. This is the perfect dupe for Lime Crime's Velvetines and also the lip cream stain in general. I have worn it once but I need to get a better photo. It's so incredibly chic and I imagine the perfect red for most. Just the sort of thing that would make you fit into Paris and Milan fashion week so well!

There's then a mini Kerastase Forme_Fatale blow-dry gel that gives all-over volume and body that lasts and that also packs in UV and heat protection. It's the perfect addition for catwalk worthy locks.

Finally, a little My Little Box fun item which this month are some nail decals from Alfa-K, again, a French brand. The geometric design is so fun, and something I could imagine going down a storm at more edgier shows such as London.
If the aim of the 'My Little Fashion Box' was to create a box so tres chic I think My Little Box succeeded in their mission this month. Everything from the Jean Cocteau card quote, to the Chignon tutorial in 'My Little World', to the careful selection of chic, minimalistic shades of blue, black and white makes me a very fashionable box indeed. It manages to balance all the four cities and their styles and yet ultimately brings it altogether in a very sophisticated French way. Félicitations My Little Box!

For my fellow My Little Box members: what were your thoughts on the September box?
