I think this range is perfect for a box capturing the beauty of Provence, but I think the general consensus was that they looked nothing more than hotel samples. Said samples included: Roses et Reines Hand and Nail Cream, Mer and Mistral Fresh Shower Gel, Verbena Leaf Soap and a Verbena Body Lotion. Whilst it may not be 100% original I do really like all the samples and they are going to be so handy for my travels this year so I’m a happy girl. L’Occtaine is a very luxurious brand, so synonymous with French beauty, and for me the selection would be the perfect Provence weekend companions.
The last beauty gift is a stunning Eye Crayon, 'Crayon Epatant', from the My Little Corner beauty range, the sister of My Little Box, and where you can purchase the products featured in the box separately (it is however only available to purchase currently for French customers). It’s a very beautiful bronzey, deep brown with the slightest hint of shimmer. It’s so lovely smudged over the eye for an easy smokey look, or you can use it to gently line your eyes. It’s such a versatile little item you could create endless looks with and is ideal for on-the-go beauty. It’s however not highly original which is actually good because if you’re not subscribed you’ll be able to get this easily at the drugstore. Collection springs to mind as a brand that I can see doing a good dupe.
The lifestyle bits are so lovely this month! We start with a postcard beautifully illustrated by Kaneko with a quote by Yvan Audouard. Tucked underneath is the monthly ‘My Little World’ magazine. Just like last month it’s in a huge pull out form which is okay, but I do prefer the regular magazine version they had before.
The main lifestyle gift this month is a darling DIY Gold Stitched Cuff. This is such a sweet thing to include and so simple! This would be fun to take on your holidays as it’s very easy to do, satisfyingly so, and you’ll be able to create something very on trend in no time. I hope my Little Box do more DIYs like this. As well as the DIY kit there’s also a Dress Up Doll magnet sheet. I used to LOVE these as a child. It’s a very retro, sweet thing to include and the old soul in me absolutely loves things like this!
Overall I really liked this box as I feel it truly does encapsulate this part of France. But what did you think of my Little Provence Box? Did it capture the beautiful Provence area so much that you want to visit?
My Little Box is £11 plus £3.95 P+P (as always just to reiterate that I'm a subscriber so this isn't a PR sample). A new box is sent every month and you can cancel whenever you like.
