Because the haul just is that: bits and pieces I thought I would put it under separate headings and provide the links where I possibly can!
London is of course an incredible beauty shopping destination. You can get literally everything. But as you may have seen in my recent beauty storage post, I'm just trying to make a more conscious effort to buy what I really need and will ultimately use.
From Forever 21, a shop I love visiting in both London and Liverpool, I picked up this sweet Macaron cosmetic bag and some oh-so-me pink music make up brushes (sadly I can't find these online). I think Forever 21 always brings out consistently brilliant accessories with the cutest prints so it's always worth checking out if you're lucky enough to be near a store.
From Liberty's I did a wee bit of damage in the beauty department which is new for me because normally I end up leaving that beautiful shop with an arm full of craft and fabric bits! I really wanted to see and try Nancy's Nails in person as I'm such a fan of the Liberty's programme on Channel 4. I then got sucked into the other counters and picked up Bobbi Brown's Auburn Eye Brow shaper. I have wanted to try this for a little while now after seeing it float around the blogosphere. As my fellow redheads know there's two difficult elements to having red hair: foundation and eyebrow shades! Everything is aways too dark or too brown. I do really love Benefit's 'Gimme Brow' but I was intrigued at the same time to try something especially for redheads. I've tried it a few times so far and I love it. The colour is perfect for a dark red auburn like myself!
Next up was Stila's Kajal Eyeliner in 'Topaz' . I have wanted to get my hands on this in forever as I see it raved about so much! I can definitely see the fuss because it's beautiful. The perfect nude and infinitely more lovely on me than a white eyeliner to brighten my eyes. I also picked up this month's ELLE Magazine with a free mini Benefit Roller Lash which has been fantastic on my various trips this month. Last of all, Charlotte Tilbury's 'Pink Venus' lipliner. This is a brand I see constantly in the beauty blogger world so I felt compelled to get something, anything! Whilst perusing the gorgeous stand in Selfridges I settled on the beautiful 'Pink Venus' lip liner. It's so creamy and velvety and a perfect pink, browny nude. I've been wearing it alone for a simple look but it's just as striking. I can see a Charlotte Tilbury addiction building!
I'm so excited about my fashion pieces because they are some of my favourites items currently. The first is a royal blue coat that I'm so in love with, and apparently makes me look like a doll!! I actually Instagrammed this coat way back in 2013 in the Bottle Green version but it was £85 then. I was so in love with the design so I was delighted when I found a royal blue version, in the sale, with an adorable faux fur black collar in Boudoir Boutique, Liverpool. It was definitely meant to be as I love this colour combination even more and it's just perfect for a little person like myself! And Boudoir Boutique is definitely one of my favourite shopping destinations in Liverpool, and I also picked up this beautiful butterfly satchel bag. It's so, so pretty and everyone keeps stopping me to ask where it is from!
Finally, not quite as show-stopping as the pieces above, but I picked up a ton of basic bra tops and a slip from Forever 21. These are so useful in summer or nude or white dresses. The whole range didn't cost more than £7 so I highly recommend picking some up.
And then the randomness! I picked up so many little bits and pieces as I always do, mostly as a result of being weak and giving into unnecessarily pretty things! The first was a memo note block from the Andy Warhol Tate Gallery shop in Liverpool. The exhibition itself was fantastic, one of the best collections of Warhol's work I have seen, and I really wanted a souvenir from my trip. The exhibition is sadly no longer going but I highly recommend a visit to the Tate in Liverpool if you're visiting.
Back in London I picked up some rather unnecessary but ever so sweet Russian Doll highlighters from Paperchase and a bunch of magazines from Selfridges. The magazine department in Selfridges is one of my favourite spots as I am such a magazine fiend and my favourite editions tend to be from all over the world particularly Disfunkshion Magazine from Hawaii. And last of all, 'The New Braiding Handbook' by Abby Smith.
I hope you maybe found some bits and pieces you'd like to pick up soon. What has come of your recent shopping trips? If you have a link to one of your recent hauls do let me know! And it's so, so good to be back blogging, and so I plan to make today a day of rest and blogging.
