Behind The Scenes: Beauxoxo at Cuthbert's Bakehouse, Liverpool

For the past few days I have been back in my second home, Liverpool, for a new Beauxoxo photo shoot. Last year, as you may know, I centred the theme around the music and heritage of Liverpool, with my Velvet Bow Headbands Look Book. This time I went to the magical world of Cuthbert's Bakehouse for a Spring/Summer Lookbook of pure decadence. Because a teahouse demands many a pretty photo, join me after the page cut to enter this scrumptious world.

For this look book I wanted to play with pretty vintage inspired prints I know you all love. So there's everything from kitsch fruity turban headbands, pretty hair scarves and bow headbands, wire headbands and hair bows  with florals, hearts, stripes and more. I styled my hair accessories with sweet pastel jumpers with pearl necklaces to set off a really 1940s/50s look. For the make up and hair I thought it would be fun to put a modern twist on the pin up girl look and switched up the regular pin up styling to fun pastels and the hair was curls and bow buns.

The location could not be more perfect for this sugary sweet look book set at Cuthbert's Bakehouse which is a short walk from the town centre and near to the famous Rodney Street where my Great Grandfather was a famous surgeon. Cuthbert's was originally a home bakehouse in 2006 based in Aigburth Liverpool, working around demanding full time jobs in the food manufacturing industry. After supplying family and friends, local markets, shops and cafes with their bakery goodness, the Cuthbert bakehouse was soon born. As you would expect from a tea house it is fitted out with dollies, bunting, vintage tea cups and cupcake stands aplenty and is a popular stop for hen parties, anniversaries, poetry nights and so much more. We all tucked into a delicious afternoon tea and the fabrics blended into the interiors and theme like a dream. I cannot wait to share the photos with you all and I hope you love the first of my Spring and Summer look books!

This new SS15 collection will be released at Beauxoxo very, very soon! I will for sure send you the images when they are ready to go :).
