Mini LUSH Haul

For me, I never stray too far from my roots, and that's particularly evident with this mini LUSH haul. Despite being an ex LUSHie, if I have time, and I'm passing a store, you bet I have to stop by LUSH! Said little visit was the teeny tiny London Waterloo shop. This LUSH fascinates me because if I worked there I would be on a step ladder constantly, it's just so wonderfully small! I think in fact, it's the smallest LUSH shop ever.

The staff are always so lovely at the Waterloo branch I must say. As an ex-employee, it is always a strange one playing the customer, but I always feel us LUSHies are part of a huge little special community so I always love chatting to the staff like we're old friends.

So, onto my mini haul where I picked up just my classic favourites. Firstly, a vanilla musky joyous Butterball ballistic. This is the epitome of a classic scent and oh-so moisturising. Next in the ballistic line-up was Think Pink. This tonka bean, vanilla ballistic just makes me so happy. I adore tonka bean. I'm not going to lie, I am a bit gutted it's so small these days but it still packs a punch. Finally, I just had to pick up a Sakura. This was a huge, huge seller back in my LUSH days so I'm glad it has made a return of late. It's that perfect cherry-blossom scent everyone must try because it's not too in-your-face floral and softens the skin a treat.

Next up, a creamy candy, well of course! This is quite possibly my favourite LUSH thing ever. It's unashamedly girly, and if you're a Snow Fairy fan then this sweetly scented, vanilla bubble bar is going to tide you over perfectly until Christmas (and just in case you need further enabling Think Pink + Creamy Candy = a delightful bath cocktail!). I also picked up Ceridwen's Cauldron. This one isn't probably as girly as the other choices, in fact it's not at all, but it's a true delight for your skin. Packed full of oats, lavender and sandalwood, this bath melt will soothe your sensitive skin a treat. I love to use one every so often just to sort my eczema ridden skin out. It's a compromise I make with it ;). What I also love about this product is that, should you wish, the muslin cloth can be used long after your bath melt has gone.

I then purchased three non-bath things per se. Firstly, Vanilla Puff. I rave about this stuff all.the.time. I adore it. Absolutely love it. For a vanilla fiend, it's just glorious. Some days I actually even prefer this talc to perfume. Last of all, two pot purchases. The first is De-Fluff. This is a new shaving product and it is the strawberry that sold it for me. LUSH products with strawberry are rare because they can be a bit stubborn in the natural beauty making process. I am excitedly going to try this one out and I'll keep you updated. Last but my least, a trusty pot of Mask of Magnaminty. This stuff packs a punch of mint, as surprisingly the name would suggest, but also to your surprise this is okay on my sensitive skin. So long as I use this sparingly it's fantastic for troublesome t-zones and is like a detox for your skin. It often gets rave reviews and doesn't need to be kept in the fridge unlike the other LUSH face masks so I'd highly recommended trying this if you have combination skin.

And that's a wrap. Has anyone else been doing a bit of LUSH shopping? Please tell me what you got! Unfortunately as I type this, the LUSH website is having a wee technical hitch but you all know the website is right here and hopefully by the time this goes live it will have sorted itself out!

  1. I was surprised that Ceridwen's Cauldron didn't make my skin react as much as other LUSH products since most of them are full of nasties, but this one doesn't contain SLS and it made my skin actually soft x
