1. Benefit The Pore-fessional
So every single beauty blogger must own this but only until a month ago did I decide to make a purchase. I have tested numerous samples over time and finally decided to make a splurge and I must admit, it's pretty fab! I really think it makes a difference around my nose and forehead and it definitely makes make up last longer. I still feel it's a tad on the pricey side, however.
2. Cath Kidston Boudoir Towel
My favourite things about January? The Cath Kidston sale! I pretty much by-passed everything else and picked up the prettiest things from my local store. This boudoir towel is the loveliest thing and it feels so luxurious hanging on my towel rack. I can't find this exact fabric on the Cath Kidston website but to be honest, the whole Cath Kidston towel range is the prettiest.
3. Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
I'm not going to lie, I imagined this to be the biggest novelty product ever, I mean come on, bottom lash mascara? Honestly though, I was sucked in because I have small eyes and I was just too intrigued. I'm so glad I didn't to try it because it's absolutely perfect for achieving define lower lashes and for me, highlighting this area is a must.
4. I love...Coconut & Cream Indulgent Hand Wash
My eczema has been so, so painful this winter and washing hands can be so very irritating. I have tried so many soaps and hand washes but every single one left my hands even more red, raw and uncomfortable. In the end I spotted this in Boots and by this point I had almost given up so I thought I really couldn't lose by picking this up because I adore coconut so at least my hands would smell nice, I thought! Anyway, thank goodness this is SO lovely on my eczema ridden skin. I'm not going say it offers incredible moisturise because my hands are permanently dry and inflamed however this doesn't irritate my hands like others do and I love it so very much.
5. Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper Eyeshadow Primer
I've loved Urban Decay and Too Faced's primers for so long, and I would buy both tomorrow, but I just fancied something different so I went and ordered Lime Crime's eye shadow primer and it's proving to be an absolutely gem. When I use this my eye make up literally does not budge and a little goes such a long way. Highly recommended and the packaging is adorable.
6. MAC Cosmetics See Sheer Lipstick
I don't know what's happened to me but I'm having a fully on obsession for orange and coral lipsticks right now and this one from MAC is absolutely perfect. It's a browny-coral to me that is so wearable and can be worn day or night. It's not one that gets a lot of attention but definitely check it out when you next swing by a MAC counter next.
7. Paperchase Bunny Single Hole Punch
This is probably my most random favourite yet but I cannot get over cute this little bunny single hole puncher is. Anyone who follows my blog regularly knows I am really obsessed with bunnies, so I had to have this and you know what, thankfully it's been incredibly handy and not just something sweet that gathers dust in my stationery drawer!
8. Urban Decay b6 Vitamin Infused Complexion Prep Spray
I have combination, sensitive skin, so I'm always dealing with redness on my cheeks and an oily t-zone, joy! I really don't know why this was appealing to me when I was at Urban Decay but I just really fancied giving it a go and I am so happy I did. Within a minute or so of spraying this on my face, I always see a noticeable difference to my skin. My oily t-zone was gone, redness reduced, and my skin was smooth, tight, and shine free. It's a little pricey so I haven't used it every day, but it's a really, really good product and definitely something to investigate in store.
9. Urban Decay 'Naked 3' Palette
More Urban Decay, I know! I purchased this with the above. I'm so in love with my original Naked palette and when I saw some photos online for this release, with rose-gold hues, I just knew this was something I had to have in my collection. The colours are just so stunning, so workable and perfect for day and night. I couldn't recommend this more highly. The look possibilities are truly endless and I just love Urban Decay eye shadows.
Finally, my non-beauty and fashion favourite is for Lorde. This 17 year old New Zealand singer out stands me with her talent and she reminds me so very much of Jake Bugg in terms of her musical maturity for one so young. I liked 'Royals' but it was this song 'Team' that really made me notice her. I just cannot believe she is 17, 17! Oh to be 17 again! It's also so amazing to see someone from New Zealand having such a moment too as I love New Zealand.
So that's everything for January. How about you? Link or write your favourites below please :).
