Day In The Life: My New Year's Eve 2013

How did you celebrate New Year's Eve? Here's a little look into my world :)

So as I type this now we are well into 2014 but before I fully settle into it I thought I would share with you my New Year's evening this past year. We had a huge 7 (to be honest, I lost count!) 7 course meal with presents between each course. My Mum actually dreamt up this idea a few years ago and it has long been a family tradition since to celebrate the New Year altogether. We tend to start with a light salad, a fish starter, then some sorbet, a special New Year decorated beef wellington, petit fours and like I said I then lost count ;).

We start the meal quite early in the evening and break up each course with present opening and I was so, so lucky to get the wonderful things I did this year, it was like a second Christmas! A few of my favourite gifts included a Kiko Cosmetics Make Up Fixer (I look forward to trying this one), a Russian Doll manicure kit (you all know how obsessed I am!), Carlitta Monchitta earrings and Hello Kitty hand warmers.

New Year's Eve has become one of the most expensive evenings on the yearly calender and this has become such a special way to bring in a New Year and my Mum always does such a special job!

What did you all do for New Year's Eve? Are you excited about 2014? Tell me any resolutions you have planned below please! :)

xoxo
