DIY: Nail Polish

Phew, this video has been a bit of a mammoth to get up but we're there! So, today I want you show you all how easy it is to make your own nail polish. I will admit that whilst easy, it's not really cost effective however it's a great way to use up left over bits of loose pigments, broken eye shadows etc.

I really hope you enjoy the video above and if you have any questions at all feel free to leave it below.

To make your own nail polish you will need:

* Clear nail polish (try to pick one with a clear glass bottle just to make it more unique to you. Mine is from Miss Sporty and a mere £1.99!)
* Loose pigments/broken eye shadows. I'm using a mixture of Barry M Dazzle Dusts, MAC pigments and a glitter from Topshop. Go wild with colour combinations and textures because the glitter does give a beautiful shimmer.
* Cocktail stick
* Scrap bit of paper- an old receipt is perfect!
* Tissues to hand- can potentionally get messy!
* To decorate the bottle: lace trim, ribbon, scissors and glue.

To really break the DIY down you simply need to:

1. Split the piece of paper in half
2. Pour some pigment(s) onto one half of the paper
3. Remove the bottle cap from the polish and with the other half of paper create a funnel.
4. Pour the pigment mix in through the funnel.
5. Stir it all together with a cocktail stick.
6. Place the bottle cap back on and shake. You're all done!
7. Decorate with ribbon and lace for a fun look!

I so hope you enjoyed this DIY and let me know if you want more beauty, fashion etc :).
