So with huge shame I must confess that I have never ever been to a bloggers event before *gasp*, I hear ya! Why? Well because nine times out of ten they are always in London and not only that but quite often in the evenings meaning not terribly friendly to those living out in the sticks!

Last year Debenhams in Bournemouth had a massive make over and as a result it a) looks incredible and b) saw the arrival of a gorgeous Benefit counter complete with beauty treatments from waxing to tinting. Every time I go past I think how lucky we are in Bournemouth to have it! The decor is so chic and oh so Benefit with little wall quotes and pow-wow wallpaper with fun product posters in vintage photo frames.

This afternoon a lot of local bloggers were invited to an event to celebrate the launch of 'Fake Up' Benefit's latest concealer called 'Fake Up'. When we all arrived we were greeted with wine and soft drinks and a plethora of sweets and cakes which is always a winner in my book! The wonderful Alyson, (complete with her fabulous detective outfit!) demo'd 'Fake Up' on a lovely Bene-babe as she did we were able to see the product in action and to also hear more about it.

So Benefit's latest concealer offering 'Fake Up; is a concealer aimed at being  hydrating for the under eye area as well as providing crease-control. It's loaded with nourishing Vitamin E and apple seed extract  which also works perfectly at hiding dark circles and diffusing fine lines for a silky smooth, ultra-natural look. I was really amazed at the difference between the before and after through the demo, but to think this is just for eyes, oh no! This magical multi-tasker can also b used to conceal any other imperfections and with the darkest shade can also be used as a clever contour.

After the demo we were all colour matched and whenever I am colour matched for me, snow white that I am, it's always a done deal before I take to the make up chair! I am of course the lightest but to be honest what is far more shocking for me is purely the fact it does actually work for me full stop! I never ever normally find anything in Benefit to match my ultra fair skin but this did. I think perhaps because it's so moisturising and dewy it won't oxidise as much. I really loved it as I'm typing this now at 22.30 at night, it's still there and still looks just as bright!

To finish a lovely afternoon's event off Alyson presented us with the cutest little goody bag ever filled with a necklace (SO excited by this, I feel like an honorary Bene-babe!), eye mask, mini foundation sample and a Bad Gal lash. Overall it was a really rather fabulous event and more importantly I feel like I've completely fallen for Benefit again. I was so in love with the brand when I was 17, 18 and they then somehow went off my make up radar, but they're right back up there again! I have my eye for sure on 'Fake Up' and also I finally got to try 'They're Real' and I can definitely tell the fuss!

Thank you so, so much for having us Alyson and for being the perfect hostess! Also a massive thanks to Debenham's Benefit for having us and it was so lovely to catch up with some of my local blogging girls. You can shop 'Fake Up' and read some reviews here. Anyone tried this concealer?

xoxo
