Day in the life: Lulubelle's Cakes, Cupcakes, Beauxoxo Spring Summer hair bow shoot!

This post is oh, only slightly photo heavy, but recommended for those with a sweet tooth ;)

Firstly, my Irish girls and guys- a very, very happy St. Patrick's Day! I love celebrating my small Irish roots! I  didn't do anything really remotely Irish today to celebrate however you could say there's something kind of timeless and universal about cupcakes because today I had the absolutely joy of shooting my new spring and summer look book for my shop. The weather lately has truly been awful (as I'm sure you're all well aware, and all anyone wants to talk about, or moan rather!) and this time last year it was really one of the warmest periods we had so that, coupled with my illness last month, means I'm so extremely behind this season and I needed a plan b.

I had long been a fan of this magical, rather wonderful cake shop for ages local to me called Lulubelle's Cakes. Louisa started her Lulubelle journey at 'Ollie’s Closet' in Winton, Dorset and Louisa saw the opportunity to turn an unused space into a working kitchen in 2011, where despite no shop front or signage customers were able to smell and see the cakes being made on a daily basis. Fast forward to 2012, and business booming Louisa spotted another opportunity to expand the business quickly moving into an empty unit in Canford Cliffs, Poole, not far from Sandbanks beach in Dorset. The business now operates with a small team of Cake Fairies and continues to deliver happiness to all our customers every day and in 2013 her ever growing cake dreams grew into a pretty little tearoom, giving customers the opportunity to sit down and indulge in comfort! I had the idea that this would make the most perfect back drop for my latest look book as so many of the pastel hues and cupcake themed pieces seemed to blend in so effortlessly into this environment. So, with my stunning model Velvet, and my photographer Kaja Jangaard we had a wonderful day of pure sweetness!

Louisa has done such a wonderful job with the look of the tearooms which of course are aimed at those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life to enjoy scrumptious treats but also it has a little book swap area, local sellers selling their wares, tea cup lights, bean bag area for the kiddies (and a naughty stool, so you've been warned!) and currently a beautiful wall painting is being completed and I cannot wait to see what it will look like over the next few weeks!

So my lovelies I hope you enjoyed getting to know a little more about this sweet spot and getting to know more about my little outings and what not. I'm super excited to see the end result and will of course keep you all updated.
