The Madrid Diaries

002003005006007015018WARNING: VERY PHOTO HEAVY!! Hola amigos! Estoy de vuelta desde Madrid, te he echado mucho a todos! Ahhh I cannot stop speaking or trying to write Spanish! But yes, I have been away in Madrid for the past four days and it was truly magical. I have had the great fortune of visiting quite a lot Spain but Madrid is a city I have never visited because it is so, so hot in the summer I daren’t as I have terrible asthma and well, you know, I’m a pale porcelain creature that frazzles in the sun, haha.

Madrid was so very different to the other cities I have visited in Spain such as Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Malaga and Granada. To me Madrid is really majestic, and the grandeur of the buildings is just incredible, and I feel it’s very similar to London and many other capital cities. I think it is perhaps best known for its great cultural and artistic heritage, a good example of which is the El Prado museum which is a must, must visit. It is kind of confusing, in fact, it was one of the most confusing museums I have ever been to layout wise, but the paintings on display are breath-taking.

The only downside to my little trip was the weather! I started off this little post saying that I haven’t visited Madrid in the summer because of the intense heat but then the downside is Madrid tends to get all the rain in November and rain it did! That meant that unfortunately I couldn’t take a single outfit post because it was freezing cold and I couldn’t really take good shots whilst balancing an umbrella and map! So very sorry about that my lovelies! This post is just going to be some general photos but now I am home I will hopefully persuade my lovely family and friends to help me with some outfit posts that I couldn’t take in Spain!

So yes, here is Madrid through my camera lense! Normal blogging shall commence tomorrow. I hope you are all having a wonderful week.

xoxo
