Wooooah that looks like such a lot of products but please note that I do not use them all at once! So as you can probably tell this post is all about skin care. I know I keep banging on about this time and time again but the greatest thing you can do for your skin is to be healthy, and I will constantly harp on about the whole ‘you are what you eat’ thing because it’s so true! With that being said, a consistent skin care regime can do wonders for the skin but sometimes it can be a little frustrating to find the perfect products that a) say what they say will do and b) your skin will love. I have trialled so, so many brands and products over the years that my skin probably hates me but I think I have finally found out what my skin likes.

Cleansing wise I love LUSH so much. I use Ultrabland to remove my make up at night and Angels On Bare Skin in the morning. Both are a dream team to me. Ultrabland is based on an ancient beeswax and vegetable oil formula from the times of Galen, the Greek physician and philosopher. It magically lifts dirt, grease and make up from the skin, without stripping away the skin's natural defences. It is the Queen of make up removers. When I worked at LUSH we used to tell people that if your acne didn’t clear in two weeks of using this, and this alone then we would refund you on the spot. Then like I said I use Angels on Bare Skin in the morning, which evens out skin tone, reduces redness and improves the health and appearance of your skin giving a natural healthy glow. The ground almonds in this product release their goodness and turn to an almond milk on your hand when you add water. It sounds and looks a little funky but again, miracle worker! If I have my lazy days (don’t judge, we all do!) I use the Good Things Face wipes which is a range I adore, and it’s fantastic to see a natural range on the high street that’s affordable.

Currently I’m using Boots Botanics Rosewater toner because I completely ran out and was in a teeny tiny Boots and this was the most natural product they had. I’ve actually used this before and did like it so thought I’d re-purchase. It’s a nice product but I can’t say I notice it transforming my skin in an obvious way. I might go back to Origins, Clarins or Liz Earle next. Of course the most important part of any skin care routine is a good SPF and I have so many that I love, and of course it’s a must for my porcelain skin tone to protect it. I’m currently using Kiehls SPF 50 moisturing lotion for the spring and summer and then the Soap & Glory SPF 25 for autumn and winter. They are both wonderful, and aren’t too heavy which can be a problem with SPFs. At night I then use Soap & Glory Wish Upon a Jar which I had heard so many people rave about and couldn’t resist. It’s a funny old moisturiser as you can only use it for 21 days straight and then rest it as the ingredients are so powerful. I’m going to do a full review soon so I’ll let you all know my thoughts soon. However I would really like to keep my skin care routine completely natural so I am will eventually go back to Origins for a moisturiser. For some reason all LUSH moisturisers break me out, but I use Steam Cream and love it so that’s a keeper.

The next section is the little extras that aren’t really essentials but make a big difference to my skin. The first is a LUSH face mask. There’s simply nothing like it! I literally love them all but Love Lettuce and Catastrophe Cosmetic are my favourites but I also love the Montagne Jeunesse sachets that you can find just about everywhere. The serum I love to use is Origins A Perfect World and this stuff is amazing. It makes your skin silky soft and really hydrates my skin and evens out my skin tone. Finally I use the Witch Blemish Gel for any spots, Origins Starting Over eye cream (I’ve only used it since Monday but kind of love it already!), LMS Spotlight thing for spot prevention, No.7 Total Renewal which is pretty good but I’d still like to have a professional microdermabrasion treatment and Liz Earle muslin cloths. They are the best. And come to mention Liz Earle I know a lot of bloggers love Liz Earle skincare and I do too, really I do, and I had the fortune to review the range but the moisturiser messed up my skin a little, but I think I might look at buying the toner as I loved that, and I do love cleanse and polish, it’s just I love Ultrabland more.

So yes that’s it. Phew, what a lot of rambles! In a nutshell I love natural products and have a natural approach to skincare, but that’s why I want to change up some of my moisturisers and stuff. If in doubt I make my own skin treatments occasionally by raiding the kitchen cupboards and of course I eat my way to healthy skin. A few of my favourites brands for skin care are: LUSH, Origins, Kiehls, Liz Earle, Witch, Good Things and Boots Botanics. Oh and I don't look at price, I just buy at whatever price point. It's just so happen that my skin likes a bit of both! So what do you all use on your skin?

xoxo
