Our little snowman is about to shuffle off this mortal coil – but not before you get one last bath from him as he disappears for another year. It is a short but glorious life that our Melting Snowman lives. He may not have long to go, but boy is he going to make a grand exit.

Exquisitely fragranced with a blend of oils containing vanilla absolute and sweet wild orange, giving him a deep marzipan fragrance with notes of rich fruit, reminiscent of Christmas cake and figgy puddings. Which means he smells exactly the same as our bestselling Snowcake soap.

But if it isn’t enough to smell of our most popular Christmas fragrance, he’s also got a body made of water-softening bicarb of soda, cocoa butter and shea butter. This means that when the heat gets to him and he finally melts away, he fizzes those wonderful butters through your bathwater, leaving you soft and moisturised. What a way to go! His legacy is your great skin – which means he lives on in the memory of all who knew him.

I have missed you all tons, and I’m so ashamed with how slack I am becoming on my blog!! So sorry my lovelies. Anyway, today I want to do a quick little review of the new LUSH bath melt for Christmas: The Melting Snowman. This is a completely new Christmas product for LUSH this year and I have to say what a fabulous, fabulous creation! I mean a bath product moulded on a snowman that melts in the bath is kind of a given, right? Well to be honest, I’m surprised he hasn’t been around for years, but thank goodness he is here now. He smells seriously gorgeous, with a heady mix of vanilla and tonka (which, incidentally are two of my favourite scents ever, ever), mixed with a lovely snuggly almond scent which is exactly the same as the infamous Snowcake soap.

To use him, you simply drop (or nicely place!) him in a lovely hot bath and he gently fizzes away. It’s not like a ballistic fizz, he dissolves very peacefully and suddenly the bath water is turned into pure silk, leaving a gorgeous moisturising film on your skin. Some might find this a little meh, but I actually really love it because you don’t need to use any moisturiser at all. Additionally the fact that the scent for this one lingers longer than any LUSH product I’ve tried for ages makes it a complete winner for me. I can’t wait to stock up on this one, and I’m very happy indeed that his legacy is indeed making my skin so, so soft!

The Melting Snowman is £1.95 and will only be available over the Christmas period. To find out more, click here. Has anyone tried this one, or any of the other Christmas products from LUSH this year? Let me know your thoughts!
