I heard about this palette sometime ago when I was under the impression that it was meant to be the rival to Urban Decay’s Naked Palette but in fact I believe that it is actually not this, and that it will be released later this year. Rather, this is what Sleek proclaim to be the, ‘every occasion palette’ from ‘day time chic with matte browns and creamy beiges’ to ‘sultry evening glamour with shimmering grays and smokey plums’.

It certainly is a special palette filled with sweet peaches and pinks to smokey neutral browns, rusts and smouldering grays. It would work for absolutely every skin tone and like Sleek claim, day to night wear. I have been wearing it everyday since I got it, which is only on Sunday, so I’m clearly liking it a lot! In particular I love every single colour pretty much up to ‘Gift Basket’ and ‘Boxed’. I’m not crazy for ‘Noir’ because black is always too harsh with my colouring, but I can see why Sleek put it in their palette because for everyone else it is kind of a necessity. Per usual, the colours are packed with pigment, particularly so with ‘Gateau’, which practically melts with pigment! Just so you know, ‘Bow’, my favourite shade is the perfect dupe for say MAC’s ‘Vanilla’ and is also super pigmented, it’s just I’m so pale that it blends in too well to the whiteness of my skin!!!

This palette is priced at £6.49 and considering how amazing the quality of Sleek’s eyeshadows always are, I still think it’s a bargain, even though I think I am right in saying that the price of Sleek’s palettes have gone up? Anyway, I am a huge MAC-o-holic, and I’m not going to lie, so if I say they are as good as MAC, then I hope you will believe me in thinking they are of an outstanding value! And I love the mini booklet in this palette. Gorgeous visuals!

If you want one of these palettes for yourself, head down to Superdrug's, (or alternatively online from the Sleek website) pronto, because believe me, despite it not being the most original colour selection, it’s versatility certainly makes it very special! But what do you think?

  3. Ooh, deeply tempted by this one. It's the first Sleek palette that I could see myself getting some serious use out of. Except for the fact I haven't worn eyeshadow in months. Must. Not. Spend. xx
