NOTD: Barry M Nail Effects NP 314

006

014

I have now tried all the Barry M Nail effects, and I think I saved the best till last. Now I have to admit, I wasn’t overly impressed by the blue and white shades, but I do love the pink one. Having said that, I think I like it because it really is the most gorgeous vivid pink. The crackle effect still isn’t as good as the 17 version, but I think on top of this pale pink, like OPI’s ‘Got a Date to Knight?’ it looks really nice. The first photo is it without a top coat, and the second with. I think a shiny top coat definitely makes it!

Have you tried this, and if so what do you think? What’s your favourite crackle polishes, and from which brand? I am very keen to try Model’s Own!

  3. It looks really good with the top coat on :)

Do you have any tips when it comes to applying crackle nail polishes? Because I make sure I do it in one stroke like it says and it never looks like this.

  5. @ Sadie K- I do find the Barry M ones hard to work with, but I find the secret is making sure the brush has a lot of polish and not to go over it once applied. Try to get a nice coat in the centre, then at the side and then leave :).

@ Summer- Yes I like it so much more with a top coat!
