A LUSH Valentine

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is just 14 days away, and if like me you’re not a fan, then whatever you do, do not be putt off indulging in a little flirtation with some gorgeous bath products from no other than LUSH, which will make you feel truly loved. I picked up every single product because I think this year they got it oh-so-right! In fact, I can’t think of a better selection of Valentine products over the years I have been involved in LUSH. So let me introduce to you to these little lovelies!

The Frog Prince

What LUSH say: Drop this verdant Frog into a nice warm bath, lower yourself in and relax in the bright green water for a sensual, soothing and surprising bath time. Someday, your prince will come: Another magical creation by Michelle, The Frog Prince is an extremely handsome and regal frog with a pair of vibrantly red and kissable lips. Give him a quick peck, drop him in the tub and wait for your prince to come. For all the lovers: Simon's new fragrance is an aphrodisiac blend with sweet undertones; he used jasmine, neroli and rosewood to create a sensual fragrance for those longing for their prince - or princess - to come. It's not all about the fragrance with this one; it's also brimming with cocoa butter and almond oil for a luxuriously moisturizing soak.

What I love about it: Well I adore past products like Fairy Jasmine, Turbo Burble etc (if you don’t know what I mean, look them up in Retro) and to me this is an exact dupe. Jasmine is a gorgeous fragrance and is extracted from the white blossoms. It has been used as a sensual aphrodisiac for centuries and has quite an effect on some people. So to use it in a Valentine product makes perfect sense! If you like musky jasmine scents you’ll adore this, and isn’t it just the cutest ballistic ever? Just look at those juicy red lips! Cute!

And here he is standing up, just because, he’s adorable!

The Ex-Factor

What LUSH say: Spurned Voodoo Lover: Michelle invented this one as an antidote to the Valentine's sentiments and shaped it like a little gingerbread man; it's her own little spin on spurned lover voodoo. It's not me, it's you: Valentine's Day isn't for everyone. It can make your blood boil when you're not with anyone and it can do the same when you are. Our blue Bath Bomb was invented for wronged lovers and those who dislike the romantic sentiments of Valentine's Day. Love doesn't even factor into it: While it has the cute blue colour of a Smurf, there's nothing quite so sweet about Ex Factor. Its musky, creamy scent and dissolvable limbs make for a wickedly fun bath, where you can fizz away appendages and head until your thirst for revenge has been satisfied.

What I love about it: If you love the Butterball scent, you will love this! Some may literally want to break it up to savour it, but I’d just use it in one go! Otherwise you tend to not get the full scent experience. You all know how much I adore vanilla, and that musky scent, so this is love for me. I don’t prefer it as much as Butterball, because I like the little moisturising cocoa butter bits in that, but it’s still lovely to use, and makes the water go bright blue!

Magic Mushroom

What LUSH say: Bath-time ‘shrooming: Magic Mushroom has two distinct scents. In the red cap, there's the nostalgic fragrance of our Yummy Yummy Yummy shower gel (sniff); and in the white bit, we've used our signature creamy vanilla scent. Together, it blends to give you bubbles that smell like a bowl of fresh strawberries covered in cream. There won't be mushroom for anyone else in your life - or bath - when you've got one. The Honourable Mr. Toadstool: Welcome back, little mushroom. It's been one long year since we said goodbye to our exceptionally fruity, sweetly creamy Bubble Bar and it's been tough. Make mounds of frothy bubbles with this limited edition romancer.

What I love about it: Fans of Yummy Yummy Yummy shower gel must own this! It’s the most scummiest scent ever, packed with strawberry and vanilla and it’s just gorgeous. And LUSH use real vanilla, not that synthetic stuff. The vanilla is extracted from the beans of the plant. It is a thick brown substance that has a very sweet aroma that is widely used as flavouring in foods and in cosmetics, and vanilla absolute is the highest concentration of the aroma. So if you love vanilla, strawberry and scent scents you must own this, have I already said that?! Well, it’s worth saying twice!

Love Birds

What LUSH say: Lather up with our romantic, softening soap for silky hands smelling of Jasmine and Vanilla.

What I love about it: To those who loved the Keep It Fluffy fragrance from B you will be all over this like like I am. Keep It Fluffy was such a sweet, gorgeous scent and as I have previously said, I love Jasmine and Vanilla. Grab this now while you can! It’s also the most beautiful soap design. I can’t really illustrate that in one chunk, but please go into a LUSH store and admire it’s prettyness! Here’s a close up of the top of my soap:

It’s Raining Men

What LUSH say: Honey rich shower gel for your body and hair. Hallelujah! God bless Mother Nature for all the sensual honey and exotic flowers we squeeze in each bottle. Get absolutely soaking wet and lather up with this Honey I Washed The Kids scented shower gel.

What I love about it: Well what’s not to love about it, it’s a shower gel version of the infamous Honey I Washed The Kids soap, and if you adore that honey scented toffee soap like so many, you’ll love this. I am seriously going to stock up. This shower gel has been available here and there. A few years ago it was an American special, called something Hollywood, the exact name escapes me. Then just a few years ago it appeared as a special called Honey Hugs. I actually preferred that name because it is literally like a hug in a bottle. They need to make this a permanent because the sweet scent is so popular, and so many prefer to use shower gel. Definitely get some before the mad rush!

So there is my little overview of LUSH’s Valentine’s Day collection. All the products are available in store now and will probably be here all month, but be quick to snap up your favourites, if just to pick up the cutest bag they have, as in the photo above. You currently cannot buy online due to recent dramaz…which I won’t elaborate more on here. The only disappointing thing I guess for some is that the scents are already dupes of previous products, or current products, but for newbies you may be new to products like ‘It’s Raining Men’ so that will be a good thing.

Anyway I talked way too much in this post, so now it’s your turn! Let me know if any of these take your fancy, and if you’ve tried them, what you think!

  1. haven't been too fussed with lush lately but loved this offering! I picked up the shower gel and the mushroom bubble bar. I wish I had picked up the frog now as he is sooo cute. I also love the packaging on the bags - I've kept mine for now =D xx

  2. I love LUSH! Last year my fiance got me a bunch of Lush stuff for Valentine's day...without me even asking. Hopefully he does the same thing this year :)

  3. I want all these goodies, they all sounds lovely! The frog prince is so cute and it's raining men is a must just for the honey smell :)

  4. Lush is amazing. The products are incredible! I love this stuff you posted! I will have to try them all out next time I get to a lush!

  5. I've still got some Lush xfactors & magic mushrooms left from last Valentines *Blush*

The shower gel to me smells nothing like the soap so i only picked up the smallest bottle, it was way too honey smelling for me :(

  6. I only liked the Ex factor from this collection :) x

  7. Oh wow. HIWTK shower gel? I'd better get myself to Lush!

I've awarded you with the beautiful blogger award too!
