I don’t think I’ve ever been so late with a post like this, well no actually, I lie, I totally have, but I’m pretty ashamed to be putting my IMATS post up when it’s now nearly a month since I was there! I guess I’ve found that over the years there is always such an influx of posts that I will hold off and post a week later than the event, but I didn’t expect to post a month later. Anyway finally, it’s here, and I’m sorry for the mass of photos but there’s never much to say about IMATS, but there is sure a ton of visuals to show (and for amazing photos, I may not be the best blog, but I try!!!)

I always love going to IMATS, but I felt this time was very different to the previous years. It was very much about the growth and influence of YouTube Guru and bloggers. I was sad to miss the Guru summit but I don’t live anywhere near London so couldn’t get there super early, as although Alexandra Palace is a gorgeous venue, it’s in a rubbish location travel wise. The same array of fantastic companies were there, but it was great to see the addition of Inglot and Sleek. For me it wasn’t as busy this year, maybe it was the time I was there, but last year was so chaotic! I didn’t actually get anything, which is totally boring, but I have come to the realisation that I own way too much make up, and that yes Inglot was gorgeous, and you have no idea how much I had to talk myself out of getting some gorgeous deer and butterfly lashes from Paperself, but I need to use what I have! I did get the AOFM 'Make Up Is Art' book which I adore, and reading that and wondering around literal works of art through make up made me realise why I adore this medium. I have to admit I had lost a bit of sparkle for make up I once had before IMATS, but as soon as you enter that environment, it’s so easy to remember why I love it so much. But further it made me realise that because of this, I want to capture this more on my blog. So yes, watch out for this, because I really want to push myself to post more FOTDs etc, but more editorial stuff, as that’s my thing!

I cannot end this post without a mention to the lovely, lovely people I met. In my nearly 2 years and a bit of blogging I have never actually met anyone from the blogging or beauty community, so it was an absolute pleasure to meet Koren (actually I met him last year too, but I adore him so he can get another mention!), Pursebuzz, Leanne, Kim, and finally the gorgeously sweet Becca. It was so lovely to meet you all, and here’s to next year where I hope to meet even more of you! : ).
