NOTD: Topshop ‘Gypsy Night’ Nail Polish

076

MORE nail polish? Oh indeedy! As I explained in my last post, I’m a on a bit of a nail polish spree lately, and I’ve also had a re-sort of my current collection, so I’m discovering a lot of shades that I’ve never mentioned on here. This is one of them, and I can’t believe I’ve never talked about Topshop make up until now! In fact since my initial review, when there was a huge buzz surrounding its release, I’ve stupidly never written since about it, but this will change from now!

Anyway here is in my opinion, one of their most beautiful and unique shades: ‘Gypsy Night’. But what colour is it? Hard to say, and will change in different lighting situations, but to me it’s a black with multi-dimensional glitter. It has glitters that are small, and then ones like Nubar 2010 which are a bit bigger. The glitters to me have a very golden/red/orange/green tone to them rather than silver and blues (although the last few photos show the odd silver glitter). But what do you lot think? Here are some close ups (sorry for messy application and awful photos!):

It’s a very nice nail polish though, but application wise, I prefer the more slender brushes that come with Nubar, China Glaze etc. But it’s a very unique colour, and one that I love wearing at this time of year! Mysteriously, I cannot find it in the make up part of their website, so I guess it’s something that can only be found in a Topshop near you that sells the make up range. But if you’re after an affordable treat from Topshop then definitely pick one of these up, because for only £5 (and a little less with a student card, woop woop!) it’s a lovely little nail polish to have. I’m also loving the polka dot handle, which is very cute and different! But what are your thoughts on Topshop’s nail polish, or make up range in general? I’d love to know : ).

  1. Oooh, I didn't see this when I went in last! As for the range - I really want to try the cream blushes, some of the polishes and some of the lipsticks, but some other things seem very 'meh,' like the kohl dust.

  2. I love Gypsy Night! In some lights it's almost brownish - like a rusty black, with glitter! xxx

  3. @ Robyn- yes that's pretty much the same for me, things like the Kohl Dust etc don't interest me! There were quite a lot of these in my local branch, but it's weird the shade isn't online?! I don't know whether they've discontinued it already!

@ Kirsty- yes so true, a rusty black with glitter. I like this description so much better than mine! :).

  6. @ Vintage Dreams- ahhhh this would make sense, as a lot of people have said they can't find it in their local anymore. Bit of a shame as it's so lovely and great for this season!

@ Ballet News- Oh indeed! And you're very welcome :).
