NOTD: Nubar ‘Nubar 2010’ 10th Anniversary Nail Lacquer

009

Ready to glimpse your eyes on one of the most gorgeous top coats ever created? Well I believe I may have just found it in Nubar’s 10th Anniversary 2010 topcoat. Now regular readers of my blog will know that I absolutely adore Nubar nail polishes, and it was actually this time last year that I was first introduced to the brand when Cheryl Cole wore the gorgeous ‘Navy Blue’ shade on the X Factor. When I read into the brand further, I was delighted that their stunning shades also matched my ethics, as Nubar’s range are free of DBP (phthalate), formaldehyde and toluene, and are vegan and cruelty free. I can’t believe it is their 10th anniversary and I have only just heard of them!

Nubar describe this very special polish as follows:

Nubar celebrates ten years of creating safe and innovative nail lacquers free of DBP (phthalate), formaldehyde, and toluene with Nubar 2010. This fantastic shade consists of flakes of reflective glitter in a polychromatic base, and displays its many shades when worn alone as a sheer polish or layered over other Nubar nail lacquers for a dramatic effect. The limit to Nubar 2010's possibilities is your imagination!

And trust me, this really isn’t any old glittery topcoat. Like the description states, it really is gold flakes, and it looks so incredibly expensive and luxurious over any nail polish shade you could think of. I kind of regret testing it out over Barry M’s ‘Mulberry Pink’, because I would love to try it over a darker shade. So you’ll probably see tons more NOTDs in the future using this! Here are some photos below, but a) apologies for the awful dark photos…I’m blaming it going dark at 3.30pm! and  b) you can’t truly see how gorgeous it is over this pink shade, which I’m sorry for! It really is the most stunning nail polish.

Notice how many different shades it picks up in different lighting? It really is so beautiful, and if you’re looking for something a bit more special than an ordinary clear glitter polish, then I would highly recommend this shade. I believe it completely sold out when it was first released, so that just shows you how high in demand it is! I’ve just popped back onto Beauty Shed and they now have some in stock, so be super quick if you want one! Click here to get your little bottle of golden flakes of amazement, for £8. Let me know if you’ve already tried it, and what you think about any other Nubar shades!

  1. That really is a gorgeous topcoat. It reminds me a bit of Rainbow by GOSH which is also a seriously good topcoat! I'm finding it a nightmare to take a good photo at the moment, saving them all up for the weekend! xx
