NOTD: Barry M Instant Nail Effects

Hello my darlings! It’s me! No really, it is! I know, I know I’ve been gone forever, but a few weeks ago my laptop crashed and I lost everything. Cue stress, and a lot of related distress! Thankfully, I recovered the old data just recently, but I’ve only just got round to getting a new laptop today. Compared to other bloggers it’s a little unfancy, but I adore it and it suits my needs perfectly!

Anyway, enough rambling, back to blogging! So a lot of my new posts will be a little old-news in the ever fast moving beauty blogging world, but it’s still fun to get different views on things, right? Well I hope so, because today I want to talk about Barry M’s Instant Nail Effects. I absolutely love, love, love this and if you haven’t already got it, it’s about time you check it out!

Above is some photos of the little card that comes with this polish, which of course you don’t need with the other polishes. But it’s as simple as the above instructions: you paint your nails with your chosen polish (although I highly recommend a white or pastel shade), apply the nail effects over the top and then wait for the enigmatic, crazy looking crackled art to appear in front of your eyes!

And you can see from my close ups just how varying the design can be. Isn’t it the coolest design ever, and for £3.95 it’s the cheapest most unique nail art you can buy. It kind of reminds me of graffiti or the artist Franz Kline. What do you lot think? I would love to know your thoughts, and if you’ve done a post, link it below so I can see the different results people get.

Missed you all! It’s good to be back Smile.

You can get Barry M’s Nail Effect from the Barry M website, where you can also watch a tutorial. Or you can buy it in person at Superdrug.

  1. I love this polish so much! I feel the need to use it on top of every shade I put on :P x

  2. I'm not really sure what to make of this polish, i'm not quite sure i like the effect this has on the nails if that makes sense? x

  3. @ vanity-fashionista- it is fabulous isn't it? The only way I can't make it look good is over darker shades.

@ ~All Things Girly~ yeah I get you, it's a little 'odd', and it'll never look even or anything, but at the same time, it's a fascinating concept which I love, but others could find it a little strange!

  4. i put it over rimmel your majesty, which is metallic silver and i love it. did a post if you fancy a look!
