REVIEW: Queen Helene Grape Seed Extract Peel Off Masque

Hello sweeties! So things look a bit different around here, don’t they? I’ve had a bit of a makeover as you can see! I was wanting something really different and unique and I absolutely love it. I really hope you do too!

Anyway, today I wanted to do a super quick review to start off my blogging new year…I guess! This is a product that I got when I was in Turkey and I’ve been using it for over a month now since I got back so felt I had used it enough to talk about. Now you’ll probably know of Queen Helene and the infamous Mint Julep mask that the lovely US girls and boys rave about, but this one is more for soothing, toning and softening the skin.

It promises that after peeling off, ‘your face will feel clean with revitalized, younger-looking skin.’ I’ve shamefully never tried a peel off masque before, and why I don’t know…they’re so much fun! I applied a thin-ish layer all over and then waited about 10 minutes or so, or enough so that it dried. This is what it looks like freshly applied (no funny face shots unfortunately!):

IMG_8823 After I peeled it away, which if like me you love peeling things off your skin (PVA glue, anyone? haha) then you’ll know how sadly fun it is!!! Afterwards my skin felt so incredibly soft, I was really impressed, and all my redness had gone. I had a real ‘glow’ to my skin as well. BUT the only thing I didn’t like was that throughout wearing the mask my eye stinged a bit which was so weird. I honestly have no idea why but they did. For this reason I don’t know if I would buy it again, but apart from this I loved it, so the eye stingness (totally not a word, but whatever!) is a bit of a pain to be honest!

Has anyone tried Queen Helene products before, and has anyone seen them in the UK? Let me know if you have!

xoxo

  3. @ Natalie@BeauMakeup- Haha, glad there is another PVA glue fan ;). I've seen the Mint Julep mask on ebay but it's so expensive compared to how much it is in the US! By the way, loved your IMATS meet up idea!

@ nicoletta- Thank you sweety! I had someone do it for me, the info is in the side of my blog. I couldn't have done it without help, I fail hugely when it comes to photoshop, html and all that stuff!
