NOTD: Nails Inc Diet Coke 'London'

Evening all! So the weather has been so hot and just...heavy...(if that makes sense!) and so every post I want to do I just don't have the energy to post, which I'm really sorry about! I somehow managed to get some energy to paint my nails though, and it was another of my Nails Inc Diet Coke polishes. And girls and boys...I confess to being a total geek...as I made several trips to Boots stores all across my region to get them all...I know, I know, I have issues!!!

So anyway I've already posted the hot pink shade 'New York' but I fancied something a little more subtle today, so went with the 'London' shade, which is a browny-grey shade to me. It was actually the last shade I found, and I had convinced myself I needed it after seeing how gorgeous it looked on The Fashion Tellers nails in one of her videos...at least I hope it was her and I've not thinking of someone else...you should go and check her blog out anyway though, because she's a sweetheart!

I really love the colour of this and it's a nice neutral without being too pale and insignificant on, but to be honest I prefer the Nubar grey shade I have. I'm also NOT a fan of Nails Inc polishes. I mean, I believe they are £10.50 or something ridiculous? I certainly wouldn't buy a full size one as it chips insanely quickly on me and is hard to apply. But when it's on, it's really nice, it's just I wouldn't buy one. Does anyone else agree? Or do I need to alter the type of base coat I use? (Nail Tek).

So if you love Nails Inc, or hate them, feel free to express below, and I promise to get some more exciting posts up next week! OH and I'm so sorry my nails look disgusting, I literally JUST chipped my 4th nail as I took the photo, which then messed up the others. Ugh!

xoxo

  1. Gorgeous colour! I've never tried a nail's inc polish, I tend to stick to cheap brands. xo

  2. This is so nice! Someone very lovely has picked it up for me in England an it's on its way to me :) xx

  3. My sister and I were wandering around the Oxford Street Topshop a couple of years ago and on a whim decided to treat ourselves to a Nails Inc manicure - and then decided to just have a shape and paint, as that was quite expensive enough! I really wasn't impressed - the woman who did my nails seemed to have serious trouble getting the polish to go on evenly, and it smudged before I even got out of the shop. Totally not worth it!

  4. I like that shade, but I'm not a Nails Inc fan tbh. I've got quite a few (all freebies, actually!) and the quality is so mixed. The pink that came free with Diet Coke is gorgeous and lasts a long time, and the red that came with last months InStyle is also lovely, but the others are all terrible! Some are too watery, some too thick, some take forever to dry, some chip within minutes...

  5. @ Jennie- to be honest I know an ample of cheap brands much better than Nails Inc. Barry M as an example!

@ Lucie.lovely.cupcake- Awwww that's sweet of them, hope you get on okay with it!

@ Allie- haha, can't say I'm surprised, how they can be used in a professional salon I do not know! I like picking them up as freebies but never, ever would I buy one.

@ Laura- Glad you agree with me. You're right they're really unpredictable...which is why it's a huge risk to shell out £11 for it!

  6. I got a Nails Inc polish for free with InStyle magazine maybe two months ago and was so excited to try it. The colour is gorgeous but it chips within hours for me. Was so disappointed. They retail in Irelanf at €15.74 which is like £12! Completly overpriced and I would never spend that kind of money on them. xxx
