NOTD: Nubar 'Baby Blue' Nail Lacquer

Hey everyone! So I know....where have I been? Well, not very well! Since last saturday I've had some family visit, so I was busy with that anyway, but then on wednesday, bam, ill! I either have a biatch of all colds or chronic hayfever. I'm completely unsure which it is, but due to my asthma, I haven't had the energy to sit down at a computer, or do much at all to be honest. I'm not 100% better, but last night I had the energy to upload a few things to my Etsy, so then I then I wanted to come on here and say hi!

Illness aside, I have been wanting to put this post up for days, as the lovely people at Nubar kindly contacted me recently asking if I wanted to try a pastel shade from their latest collections. I picked up the above shade 'Baby Blue' as I've been wanting a baby blue shade for the longest time now. You all know I have a thing for my pastel colours lately! So the colour is literally a baby blue....so it may not be the most original name, but it couldn't sum up the colour any better! I was expecting this to apply so-so as I don't get on with pastel formulas in any brand but wow, amazing! Okay, so it may have needed 3 coats, but it's only just chipped this weekend and I've been wearing it for days. So impressed! I couldn't love this polish anymore to be honest. When I'm feeling better, this shade, along with some other of my pastel favourites will be mixed together to hopefully create an epic colour...I'll let you all know how that goes! ;).

Here's a little close up of the shade, it's a lot bluer in real-life:
So love, love, love this shade. A huge thank you to Nubar for introducing me to its beauty. I always thought blue polishes would make me look ill, but actually they really lift my pale skintone! If you fancy checking out Nubar's pastel colours, then you can find them at http://www.beautyshed.co.uk. But what do you think to blue nail polish? Yay or nay? Let me know below!

  3. @ missmascara1983- I know, my new love! :)

@ Jody- do you have a very pale skintone? Because although the photos don't show it I'm SUPER pale but all the magazine say don't wear pastel colours on pale skins because it looks better with a tan but meh, I love rocking the pastels, I think they suit everyone! I bet they look gorgeous on you really!

@ Witoxicity- no, no I think they would look stunning on you too lovely! Like I said to Jody above, I love pastels on everyone :).

  5. This is definitely my favourite of the Nubar shades - it's so unusual and different to nail polish colours I've seen before. VERY cute and soft!

I think the pastels work on everyone, no matter what the skin tone!
