REVIEW: MAC Blush Ombre 'Ripe Peach'

Yes, yes you are right, it's that blush being talked about AGAIN, I'm sorry! If you're not sure what I'm on about, then basically this has been one of the most talked about beauty products of late, and because it's limited and it's MAC, it's been a total sell out. I went to MAC last early last week, saw it and stupidly forgot to get it. I went again last Friday and thankfully my local still had some in (although I'm almost sure they would have all been snapped up by now!). I'm so glad I got it and found it because it's absolutely beautiful and worth all the praises it has received of late.

But what's so special about it? Well, it's not just a blush you see, it's kind of like a beautiful gradient of two colours merged into one. The shade 'Ripe Peach' is a gorgeous blend of peach and pinky-red tones, which makes it look like a sunset. You'd think to have red in a blush is wrong, wrong, wrong but actually it's stunning on. I like to use a contour brush to apply it (such as the MAC 168) as I find the slant helps pick up the two colours evenly. So yes, this is mostly certainly my product and purchase of the week, I absolutely love it!

Have you tried the new Blush Ombre blushers? If so, which did you get? Or are you not fussed? I'm very sorry to anyone who didn't get this shade and wanted it! Above is a swatch photo for you with on the left shade is the pinky red and the right is the peach shade. The texture of this reminds me of a beauty powder blush, and I'm impressed by the pigmentation of these.

  4. @ Happy1234- yeah it's so annoying, even more so when there's ebay sellers selling 20 at a time or whatever. So unfair!

@ Amy Baby- I know, it's super gorgeous!

@ MakeupKitten- Yeah I saw that one too, it looked gorgeous! That was my second choice :)
