RIP Alexander McQueen

Earlier today the world lost one of the most influential fashion designers of the 21st century, if not of all time. The British born designer tragically died earlier this morning at his London home. I heard the news much later in the day via twitter. I couldn't believe what I was reading at the time, I'm overwhemingly shocked. This is such a tragic loss. Alexander Mcqueen is one of my favourite designers, and I don't think I'm alone in thinking that he was a genius. He had a vision of fashion that was so innovative, so beautiful and always so spot on. I'm so saddened by his loss, but I wanted to make this post to share with you just two of my favourite designs he did, and what I will remember him for. I know your reading lists are going to be swamped with similar posts, but he was such a special person and designer that he is worthy of every single mention. Please share your love for Alexander Mcqueen below, and any of his designs of his you love.

  1. I must admit that i dont know a whole lot about high end fashion designers and only discovered Alexander through youtube after watching a video which showed the launch of Gaga's Bad Romance at one of his shows.

I find his suicide sad though as he clearly was a very talented man and i loved the overal unique quirky gothic feel that many of his pieces had.
