REVIEW: Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream

soap & glory hand food So recently I was fortunate enough to win the gorgeous Kelly's recent giveaway, and I won this, as well as tons of other lovely things. I'm ashamed to say I haven't really tried the Soap & Glory range fully so I was really keen to see how well this would perform.

So here's what Soap & Glory say:Soap & Glory Hand Food® Hand Cream is a super-silky gorgeously-scented non-greasy hydrating hand cream featuring fennel and lotus flower extracts, which leaves the perfect amount of moisture on your skin. Apply a little Hand Food® Hand Cream as often as you want to soften, smooth and soothe dry, chapped or otherwise hampered hands and relish in the delightful aromas of fresh bergamot, strawberries and mandarin, with floral and fruity midnotes, and musk, amber and warm vanilla. The most astonishing hand cream ever? You decide!

What I think:

So I've always used a hand cream, but for me this feels entirely different. When you apply it, it feels very cooling on the skin, and the fragrance is just beautiful! It's sweet, but not overpowering, it has a gorgeous mix of woody notes and sweetness, and it lingers on the skin for hours and hours. I've been using this since I got it and my hands are noticeably softer. It sinks in really quickly, for me a must with hand cream, and the dry, eczema ridden patches I have had on my skin have softened dramatically. I'm a huge fan of the ingredients list too- it contains some of the best stuff for a hand cream. Shea Butter for a lovely dose of vitamin A and E, macadamia oil for quick absorption, and sweet almond oil to give add vital moisture. So sounds good huh? Well, yes, but there's no SPF so for this reason, this won't be something I'll take around with me in my handbag. I'll keep on applying it at night like I have been doing and I'll probably keep using my No.7 and Molton Brown one for daytime, even though they're not as moisturising, I need an SPF for the daytime. But I'm being picky there, I would really recommend this, and I'm so pleased I got the chance to try it. I've read on another blog that it can be amazing for your nails too so that's something I want to check out. I was given the 50ml sample, but would definitely consider buying the bigger size when I run out!

So is it the most astonishing hand cream ever? It's definitely up there, and if it had an SPF I think it probably would be! If you want to get hold of this most Boots stores will sell Soap & Glory. 2. I'm the same! I always, always ignore Soap & Glory and yet it's just the sort of thing I'd love. Definitely check it out for a handcream- I mean I just use it at night time and already my skin has really improved.
