REVIEW: Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Dazzling Liners

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Dazzling LinersEvening all, well it certainly feels that way now the clocks have gone back! Before I start this post I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to all my beautiful 50 followers! I can't believe that that many of you are interested in my little posts and what I have to say! It really does mean a lot and as a little thank you I have a little giveaway planned for this week so keep an eye out for that.

This review has been a long time coming as these little liners have been raved about forever! Now for many, Collection 2000 is a brand synonymous with many teenage years, and for many is where they can say they got their first concealer, mascara etc! I know for me that I looked forward to hitting the counters at the weekend with my £5 pocket money, my first make up shopping splurges! Oh the days. But the brand has come a long way since then and now carries an impressive range of colours and products. Such fabulous products include the Glam Crystals glitter liners which I have been using for several months now.

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Dazzling Liners review I own two of the 11 shades available. In the picture top to bottom they are number 10 'Pow!' a gorgeous peacock blue and number 9 'Retro Chic' a beautiful deep bold gold. I really like the packaging first off. Plenty of product in a long, sleek tube design. I'm so annoyed of seeing those stupid designs in other ranges where the handle is twice as long as the product, know which ones I mean?
But look at how much product you get compared to other brand rivals out there. Bigger than Superdrug range 2true, B and Urban Decay. So that's definitely a huge plus.

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Dazzling Liners powThen the brush. Some have said that it's too flimsy and you have to apply lots of coats but I find that with ALL glitter liners high-end to cheap. To me they have the perfect brush which is quite long and flexible which for me at least helps shape the eye better...if you see what I mean! And the applying a lot of coats thing...well one does for me, and it dries super quick!

And finally some swatches for you (top 'Retro Chic' and the bottom 'Pow!'). As you can see gorgeously pigmented and bright which I was so shocked about because I don't find their other shadows and other products to be very bright, but these are fab. In the second photo I've included a swatch for you of the Glam Crystal shades with the Urban Decay Heavy Metal liner in 'Mullet'. As you can see the Collection 2000 shades are more liquidy maybe, whereas the Urban Decay has a drier appearance maybe but there's not that much difference is there? I doubt someone would be able to tell one is under £3 and the over about £10!

Overall Rating (the skip to bit!): To me if you love your glitter (and let's face it, who doesn't?) then you MUST check these out. For the price of one high-end liner such as the Urban Decay one, MAC etc you could have several. It makes total sense to me. I mean, okay I do own some Urban Decay liners and love them but sometimes I just don't think you need to spend more than you have to, and glitter liner is one of them! I'm going to give this 4.5/5.

For more info:

  1. I love these colors! They're both very pretty, especially that blue. Definitely seems like a better buy than the Urban Decay and others. Nice post!

  2. I have the Le Freak one of these and have to agree. Their staying power is amazing. Even once the glitter comes off the colour underneath stays on forever!!

  3. Yeah they are fab aren't they? I noticed Boots is having a deal where if you buy the new Collection 2000 mascara you get a free Glam Crystal of your choice. To think it doesn't get better :)

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I love to hear what you all think and I try and get back to everyone :) xoxo
